Showcasing Future-Type UAVs and UAM Traffic Management Systems
Korean Air announced on the 26th that it will participate in 'Drone Show Korea (DSK) 2025,' held for three days until the 28th at BEXCO in Busan.
DSK is Asia's largest drone specialized exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of National Defense, the Korea Aerospace Administration, and Busan Metropolitan City. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, with 306 companies from 15 countries participating, making it the largest scale ever.
Korean Air operates the largest booth among the participating companies and organizations at DSK. It exhibits its main products including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), future-type UAVs, and urban air mobility (UAM) flight control and traffic management systems.
Korean Air is currently producing medium-altitude UAVs for Air Force deployment and possesses the latest UAV technologies such as small strike UAVs, AI-integrated manned-unmanned hybrid UAV swarms, and small cooperative unmanned combat aircraft.
In preparation for UAM commercialization, Korean Air is accelerating the development of traffic management systems. The company has independently developed 'ACROSS,' a UAM traffic management and flight control system capable of integrated control of low-altitude aircraft such as drones and helicopters, and completed trademark registration with the Korean Intellectual Property Office last year.
A Korean Air official stated, "We are carrying out aircraft manufacturing and maintenance, UAV development, and performance improvement projects, continuing our challenge to leap forward as a world-class aerospace comprehensive company," adding, "We will also firmly establish the future growth foundation in drones, stealth technology, and space launch vehicles."
