Last year, Kospo further strengthened its member-centered community identity by increasing the number of regular members and establishing six new committees. The number of member companies increased to about 2,500, with the number of regular members rising approximately 20% compared to the previous year. In addition, a new vice-chairman was appointed, and six committees including global, regional, and external policy were established to build a member-centered organizational structure and reorganize leadership governance.
This year, Kospo aims to advance the ‘Kospo 2.0’ announced last year by focusing on strengthening representation and establishing core values. To this end, it will promote activation centered on new industries such as artificial intelligence (AI) and expand support measures for technology-based members.
Industry councils for AI, semiconductors, deep tech, and others will be newly established, and cooperation with global companies, local governments, and investors will be diversified. In this process, Kospo will establish its representative ‘products’ to support the practical growth of member companies while enhancing its status as a key partner for ecosystem stakeholders such as the government and the National Assembly.
It will also carry out the best organizational restructuring to strengthen its position as the leading startup representative organization. Choi Jiyoung, who has led major projects such as COMEUP and SlushD, was appointed as the new executive director of the Global Growth Center. Kospo plans to operate teams such as the Glocal Growth Team and Partnership Team according to ecosystem support methods including startups’ global expansion, local market growth, IR, and open innovation cooperation.
Hansangwoo, chairman who has led Kospo since last year, said, "In a situation where startups are declining and uncertainty is increasing, we will do our best to work on the ground with startups, rekindle the entrepreneurial spirit, and drive practical growth."
