On the 26th, North Korea's official newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported that Chairman Kim provided on-site guidance at the Kang Gun Comprehensive Military Officers School the previous day. Named after Kang Gun, North Korea's first Chief of the General Staff, this institution is a military school that trains junior military commanders.

Rodong Sinmun reported that Chairman Kim pointed out, "The educational environment is not meeting the policy demands of our Party's strong military construction, which aims for modernity and advancement," and "The Political Committees of the People's Army and the policy guidance departments of military education institutions are not fulfilling their responsibilities and roles satisfactorily." He then set forth the task, saying, "Let all students firmly prepare as field-oriented military talents who digest and acquire real combat experience from modern battlefields in our own way, and possess command capabilities corresponding to modern warfare to achieve certain victory only." This is interpreted as an intention to incorporate real combat experience gained through the deployment of troops to Russia into military education.

Earlier, on the 24th, Chairman Kim also visited Kim Il Sung Political University, an institution for training elite officers, where he emphasized ideological armament and loyalty by stating, "As the Party's army and the people's army, we must uphold and strengthen political, ideological, and moral superiority."

Regarding this, Yang Moo-jin, President of the University of North Korean Studies, analyzed, "The on-site guidance at Kang Gun Comprehensive Military Officers School following Kim Il Sung Political University is part of the early-year effort to consolidate military morale," adding, "It also implies an order to innovate the education of junior military commanders in the context of overcoming military morale fluctuations due to the deployment to Russia and experiencing changes in modern warfare." Furthermore, he noted, "Observing the inauguration of the Trump administration, the ceasefire trends in the Ukraine-Russia war, and so forth, North Korea appears to be strengthening internal affairs," and predicted, "While defending their stance through statements from various institutions, they are expected to resume various provocations around the March joint military exercises."
