LG Uplus announced on the 26th that it will showcase digital transformation cases of domestic partners utilizing technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning at the world's largest mobile telecommunications exhibition, Mobile World Congress (MWC), held from the 3rd to the 6th of next month.
First, LG Uplus is preparing to commercialize AI technologies applicable to games and other content areas in collaboration with 'NC AI,' an AI-specialized independent subsidiary of NCSoft. LG Uplus supports NC AI's tasks such as audio, graphics, chatbots, and machine translation through its self-developed AI solutions and AI Data Center (AIDC). Moving forward, the company plans to strengthen cooperation based on AIDC to support next-generation game development and improve service quality.
Additionally, LG Uplus is innovating road data services in partnership with 'Huedata,' a road data distribution company. LG Uplus's RTK is a solution that can verify the location information of moving terminals at centimeter (cm) level accuracy. Huedata plans to utilize LG Uplus's solution to streamline its existing road data distribution services. In the future, Huedata will expand new businesses by collecting video information based on Hanjin's logistics vehicles equipped with LG Uplus's RTK devices and providing road change information data to various domains through the Huedata platform.
Kwon Yong-hyun, Executive Vice President and Head of LG Uplus's Enterprise Division, said, "LG Uplus is leading the establishment of an ecosystem that solves partners' difficulties, creates results, and grows together by utilizing various technologies including AI." He added, "Through MWC25, we will introduce domestic companies' AI transformation (AX) innovation cases to the global market, showcasing LG Uplus's technological capabilities and the competitiveness of Korean companies."
