Naju City in Jeollanam-do, the city council, and local restaurant and beauty business owners are joining forces to expand the number of local currency affiliate stores and promote the use of the public delivery app.
On the 24th, Naju City announced that it held a "mutual cooperation agreement ceremony for revitalizing the local economy" on the 26th with the Naju City Council (Chairman Lee Jaenam), the Naju branches of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association and the Korea Beauty Industry Association, and representatives from the public delivery app Meokgaebi.
This agreement aims to revitalize the livelihoods of local residents suffering from economic stagnation caused by high inflation, high exchange rates, and high interest rates, and includes mutual cooperation and partnership commitments among the participating organizations.
The signing ceremony, held in the small conference room at City Hall, was attended by Mayor Yoon Byungtae, City Council Chairman Lee Jaenam, Naju branch head of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association Kim Gwanyong, Naju branch head of the Beauty Industry Association Lee Jeongsil, and Naju branch head of Meokgaebi Park Ujeong.
The Korea Foodservice Industry Association and the Korea Beauty Industry Association agreed to help their members register as Naju Love Gift Certificate and public delivery app affiliates, and to install Naju Love Card terminals and QR code stands to enhance convenience for local currency users. They also plan to actively cooperate with the city and council's local economic revitalization policies, such as eradicating illegal distribution of Naju Love Gift Certificates and promoting the use of the public delivery app. Meokgaebi, the public delivery app, will focus on reducing the burden of intermediary and advertising fees for affiliates and ensuring sustainable platform operation.
Mayor Yoon Byungtae of Naju said, "Through this agreement, I hope the benefits and convenience of Naju Love Gift Certificate and public delivery app affiliates will increase, bringing vitality to the stagnant local economy."
