The city stated that this decision marks a historic turning point signaling a new leap forward for Sacheon City and western Gyeongnam, and will serve as an important opportunity to become the center of South Korea's aerospace industry.
Jinju City will actively cooperate to revitalize the western Gyeongnam regional economy and nurture talented individuals alongside the development of South Korea's aerospace industry.
Furthermore, Jinju City will do its utmost to support the Korea Aerospace Agency in establishing itself as a core institution leading the global space industry and a future growth engine for South Korea. Through this, they pledged to work together to help western Gyeongnam grow into a key hub for the national aerospace strategic industry.
