"Preventing Industrial Accidents for Workers
with AI Digital Solutions"
Musculoskeletal digital healthcare company EverX announced on the 25th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Association.
EverX held the MOU signing ceremony for industrial accident prevention at the headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Association the day before. Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to provide systematic health management services to prevent musculoskeletal disorder industrial accidents among workers by utilizing EverX’s AI-based musculoskeletal rehabilitation exercise treatment brand MORA solution.
EverX will introduce the AI-based musculoskeletal analysis software MORA Vu and the employee musculoskeletal health management solution MORA Care to 19 regional headquarters and centers nationwide under the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Association. Through this, customized industrial health management services will be provided to 48,000 workplaces and workers.
EverX’s MORA Vu and MORA Care provide medically evidence-based musculoskeletal analysis and health management services. MORA Vu implements items checked by medical staff in actual clinical settings with high accuracy through an AI posture estimation model trained on 700,000 musculoskeletal exercise motion data. Instead of expensive equipment requiring sensors, it can be used with cameras on portable tablets and smartphones, enhancing convenience and usability. MORA Care offers personalized rehabilitation exercises for various musculoskeletal pains that may occur in industrial sites, such as shoulder, neck, and back pain.
Yoon Chan, CEO of EverX, said, “Musculoskeletal disorders frequently occur in daily life and work environments but are often neglected in management. Through this collaboration, we hope that more workers will use our solutions to manage musculoskeletal disorders and protect and improve their health.”
Musculoskeletal disorders are known to have a high risk of occurrence when working irregular and long hours. According to statistics from the Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service, the number of musculoskeletal disorder accident victims has been increasing every year since 2018. In 2022, among approximately 130,000 industrial accident victims in Korea, musculoskeletal disorder victims accounted for 9.2% (11,945 people).
The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of key officials including Kang Jin-woo, EverX’s Chief Business Officer, and Kim Hyo-jun, Head of Business Operations at the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Association.
