Woori Technology "Woori DS, Hyundai Rotem and Other Defense Giants' Exclusive Supply... Rapid Increase in Overseas Exports of Armored Vehicle Core Components"

Woori DS, a 100% subsidiary of Woori Technology, announced on the 25th that the volume of overseas exports of run-flat tires for armored vehicles, conducted through major domestic defense companies, is increasing significantly. With the recent successful adoption of products for new major defense companies such as H Corporation and K Corporation, along with existing clients like Hyundai Rotem, Woori DS's export-based performance growth is expected to accelerate.

Woori DS has been exclusively supplying run-flat tires to Hyundai Rotem, a global leader in the armored vehicle sector, for a long time. Last year, run-flat tires were adopted by H Corporation, a leading domestic defense company, and recently, Woori DS was selected as a supplier for K Corporation’s large-scale overseas export project, successfully securing all major domestic defense companies as clients. Woori DS has developed and is producing run-flat tires applied to armored vehicles and military vehicles on its own.

Woori DS is promoting the export of run-flat tires for armored vehicles through Hyundai Rotem. Through K Corporation, newly selected as a supplier, it plans to supply products for Poland and the UAE (United Arab Emirates). The company explained that since K Corporation is actively pioneering additional markets in the Middle East and Asian countries, the export volume is expected to expand significantly in the first half of the year.

A Woori DS official stated, “During the product development process, we not only secured a foundation for entering overseas markets by meeting global quality standards such as those in the United States, but also recently succeeded in diversifying customers based on the trust gained from supplying run-flat tires for armored vehicles to Hyundai Rotem. Along with this, as domestic defense companies’ exports expand, Woori DS’s delivery volume is increasing significantly.”

He added, “Not only Hyundai Rotem but also H Corporation and K Corporation are increasing both domestic and overseas volumes, causing a surge in orders for Woori DS products. In particular, large-scale supply to K Corporation is expected to be confirmed as early as the first half of the year. Besides products commercialized for major corporations, we are developing various new products at the request of clients, and through this, we will accelerate performance growth.”
