Gyeonggi Province is expected to greatly improve convenience for civil petitioners by becoming the first in the nation to introduce the electronic document submission service ‘Munseo24’ for the registration of safety inspection specialized institutions.
‘Munseo24,’ operated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, is a digital system that allows the general public, companies, and organizations to submit electronic documents and check processing results online without having to visit government offices in person or send documents by mail.
Gyeonggi Province applied ‘Munseo24’ to the registration process for safety inspection specialized institutions, replacing the previous paper document submissions and repetitive visit procedures.
Previously, safety inspection specialized institutions had to print out documents and either visit the Gyeonggi Provincial Government office in person or send them by mail when registering for the first time. They also had to revisit the office whenever there were changes, causing significant inconvenience.
Gyeonggi Province explained that this is not merely a digitalization of administrative procedures but a substantial reduction in the time and costs incurred by civil petitioners during the document submission process, resulting in increased citizen satisfaction and innovative improvements in work efficiency. Additionally, minimizing paper document submissions is expected to reduce carbon emissions.
Lee Jong-don, Director of the Safety Management Office of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The introduction of ‘Munseo24’ to safety inspection specialized institutions is a case of simplifying administrative procedures to enhance work efficiency while realizing eco-friendly administration by reducing carbon emissions through paper document reduction. We will continue to do our best to provide better administrative services to the citizens through this system, which was introduced for the first time nationwide."
