Mate Mobility announced on the 24th that it has signed a five-year agreement with KPGA to provide eight single-seat golf carts called "SINGLE" for use by the referees during tour events. Unlike traditional golf carts, the SINGLE developed by Mate Mobility can drive on the fairway, allowing referees to move quickly and safely. This makes the progress of the game much faster and smoother.
The SINGLE carts will have increased speed to enhance mobility and efficiency, and the noise produced when reversing will be reduced or eliminated so as not to affect the game. Additional storage space will be added to store equipment necessary for game operations.
Mate Mobility will equip the system with a control system that allows the chief referee to monitor the status of all referees at a glance, as well as photo and video upload functions for referees to directly report on-site situations. It will also include a rulebook utilizing AI technology. Additionally, KPGA Tour referee committee-exclusive control software will be developed to provide individual communication and location information for referees.
