'Business Normalization' KG Mobility Achieves Consecutive Profits for 2 Years

KG Mobility announced on the 24th that it recorded sales of 3.7825 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 12.3 billion KRW based on separate financial statements for 2024. Net profit for the period was 46.2 billion KRW, achieving a surplus for the second consecutive year.

A KGM official explained, "These results are due to increased export volumes through the launch of new models such as the Actyon and expanded global market penetration, along with CO₂ penalty refunds from the sales of the Torres EVX, favorable exchange rate effects, and cost reduction efforts including productivity improvements."

Recording operating profit and net profit surpluses for two consecutive years is the first time in 20 years since 2004. KGM, incorporated into the KG Group, is evaluated to have settled on a path of business normalization.

Domestic sales last year decreased by 5.7% compared to the previous year, but exports achieved the highest monthly sales in KGM history in December last year (8,147 units), marking the best performance in 10 years since 2014 (72,011 units). Annual exports reached 62,378 units, an 18.2% increase compared to the previous year.

KGM plans to take aggressive market responses this year, including expanding new model launches in domestic and overseas markets to increase the scale of its surplus.
