The city explained that with about 30,000 visitors annually flocking to the currently operating 9-hole Pyeongtaek Park Golf Course, the related population is expected to increase rapidly, prompting the expansion of facilities.

Jung Jang-seon, mayor of Pyeongtaek, said, "To make park golf a new tourist resource for Pyeongtaek, the city will expand park golf infrastructure that attracts visitors not only nationwide but also from around the world."
