As OpenAI accelerates the entry of its AI assistant service 'Operator' into the Korean market, it has newly introduced integration with the 'KakaoTalk Gift' service.
According to the IT industry on the 24th, Operator, officially launched in Korea on the 21st, is available to ChatGPT Pro subscribers who pay a monthly subscription fee of $200 (about 290,000 KRW). Users can now receive product recommendations and make purchases on the KakaoTalk Gift platform through the AI assistant.
Operator was first introduced in the United States on the 23rd of last month (local time). Its key feature is that the AI automatically performs various tasks such as travel bookings, restaurant reservations, and shopping on behalf of users.
In this domestic launch, alongside KakaoTalk Gift, Yanolja's accommodation, airline ticket, and ticket reservation services were also introduced. The industry expects that, just as OpenAI is expanding partnerships with global platforms, more collaborations with domestic services will follow in the future.
