Uiryeong-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, recently held a celebration event for the birth of the fifth child of the couple Shinwoo Lee and Shinyoung Lee, the center announced on the 24th.

Dongseop Kim, head of Uiryeong-eup, presented the couple with childcare gifts such as baby food containers, toddler plates, and newborn nail clippers, and expressed gratitude for the birth by taking commemorative photos of the baby.

Meanwhile, Uiryeong-gun is focusing on realistic population target figures and living population indicators that can gauge regional economic vitality in order to survive the local extinction crisis commonly faced by county-level local governments nationwide. It is also the first in the country to provide a monthly support of 100,000 won per child up to the age of 18 for families with two or more children.
