2025 Yangsan-si Youth Policy Committee Meeting Held

A Total of 42 Projects Across Three Sectors
Expansion of Customized Support Programs

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam held the ‘2025 Yangsan City Youth Policy Committee’ on the 21st to discuss youth policies in Yangsan.

This meeting was the first face-to-face gathering of the newly restructured Youth Policy Committee since December last year. It was organized to review the achievements of youth policies implemented throughout 2024 and to deliberate on the 2025 youth policy implementation plan and explore development measures. Fourteen committee members attended.

The Youth Policy Committee is an organization established under the Yangsan City Youth Basic Ordinance, consisting of a total of 19 members including ex officio and appointed members, with Vice Mayor Jo Hyun-ok serving as the chairperson. The committee plays a role in reviewing and coordinating major matters related to youth policies in Yangsan City.

For the year 2025, Yangsan City plans to invest 8.085 billion KRW in a total of 42 projects across three areas?▲Self-reliance (jobs), ▲Living (welfare), and ▲Participation (communication)?under the vision of ‘Confident, Youth Dreaming Proudly in Yangsan.’

In particular, in addition to existing projects, new support policies such as the ‘Support Project for Isolated and Reclusive Youth,’ ‘Youth Culture and Arts Pass Project,’ ‘Youth Housing Lease Deposit Interest Support Project,’ and ‘1,000 Won Breakfast Project’ will be implemented to provide more practical support measures for youth.

Vice Mayor Jo Hyun-ok stated, “We will continue to provide ongoing support to create a city where young people can settle and grow,” and added, “We will do our best to develop policies that young people can truly feel based on the opinions discussed in the committee.”
