Points Awarded That Can Be Used Like Cash

HD Hyundai Samho (CEO Kim Jaeul) is partnering with Kakao Pay to introduce 'Samho Pay,' a safety point system aimed at encouraging employees to make safety management a part of their daily routine.

HD Hyundai Samho announced on the 24th that it held the 'Samho Pay Business Agreement Ceremony' on the 21st at Kakao Pay's headquarters in Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. The event was attended by Vice President Han Jeongdong, Kakao Pay's Vice President and Head of Business Baek Seungjun, and Kim Byungsoo, Chairman of the HD Hyundai Samho In-house Partner Council, among others.

Scheduled to launch in June, Samho Pay is an incentive system that awards safety points in real time to employees and partner staff of HD Hyundai Samho who participate in safety activities via a mobile app, such as TBM (pre-task safety meetings), work instructions, on-site risk assessments, safety inspections, safety training, and safety praise coupons.

The safety points earned through Samho Pay can be converted one-to-one into Kakao Pay Points, which can be used like cash at Kakao Pay's online and offline partner stores. The company expects that Samho Pay will move away from the traditional compensation-based safety management system, which focuses on results such as accident-free records, and instead help employees make safety activities a regular part of their work life.

Vice President Han Jeongdong stated, "With the introduction of Samho Pay, we expect active participation in safety activities from our employees," adding, "We will continue to do our best to realize our core values of people-centered and safety-first management."
