Since its launch in 2018, the Citizens' Monitoring Group has been responsible for reporting budget waste and proposing improvements to the local financial system. The activity period is two years, from April 2025 to March 2027.

Any provincial resident who is able to use the internet and computers and can actively participate in capacity-building training for the monitoring group is eligible to apply.

A total of about 50 members will be selected. Of these, around 20 will be recruited through an open call based on the population ratio of each city and county. The remaining members will be appointed as financial experts recommended by each city and county.

Applicants can download the application form from the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province website and submit it via email or fax.

The province will make the final selection of the Citizens' Monitoring Group by comprehensively considering region, age, and experience, and will announce the results next month.

A provincial official said, "We hope to encourage active participation from residents through this recruitment and further strengthen the transparency and accountability of local finances."
