This follows the selection of the Institute as the executing agency for the Financial Services Commission's '2025 Fintech Security Support Project,' and it plans to conduct security inspections on technical, managerial, and physical security measures, as well as vulnerabilities in mobile apps and web security.

The security inspections target fintech companies that qualify under the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises, including ▲open banking user institutions ▲companies registered (or to be registered) under online investment-linked finance business ▲companies participating in the financial testbed ▲and MyData service providers.

Applications can be submitted through the Financial Security Institute's fintech security inspection management system, and cost support applications can be made on the Fintech Support Center website. The Institute will provide support within the subsidy budget on a first-come, first-served basis.

Park Sang-won, President of the Financial Security Institute, stated, "This initiative is significant in reducing the financial burden on fintech companies and enhancing security, thereby protecting financial consumers from security risks that arise during the development of innovative financial services." He added, "We will continue to support financial companies and fintech firms in building global capabilities in line with the government's policies to revitalize the fintech industry."
