CJ Group announced on the 24th that it visited Tam Ngu Village in Ninh Thuan Province, Vietnam, for three days starting from the 19th to provide medical volunteer services and sponsor school uniforms for students.

This medical volunteer service marks the third such activity in Vietnam, following those in 2015 and 2024. The volunteer team, consisting of about 30 members including CJ CheilJedang employees, volunteers from Woncheon Baptist Church, medical staff, pharmacists, and beauticians, conducted medical examinations, prescriptions, and health consultations for approximately 500 residents of Tam Ngu Village over three days, providing various medicines and personal hygiene education.

On the last day of the volunteer service, the 21st, a school uniform delivery ceremony was held at Lum Son A Elementary School. Attended by members of the CJ Social Contribution Promotion Team, Tam Ngu Village, and elementary school officials, about 500 sets of school uniforms and backpacks prepared through donations from CJ Olive Young were delivered to the students of Lum Son A Elementary School.

Previously, CJ conducted the "Vietnam Rural Value Chain Enhancement Project" in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to support chili pepper cultivation aimed at strengthening rural self-reliance and increasing agricultural income in Ninh Thuan Province. In November last year, a follow-up support program related to this project was also launched to provide farmers in Vietnam with necessary farming supplies such as seeds and fertilizers and to strengthen the cooperative management system.

A CJ representative stated, "We are carrying out various support activities that can practically improve the quality of life of residents to coexist not only domestically but also with the Vietnamese community," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in social contribution activities to build a friendly relationship with Vietnam and sustain the group’s future core businesses."
