Jeong Seung-yoon, a preliminary candidate running in the April 2 Busan Superintendent of Education by-election, is launching a full-scale conservative rally starting with the opening ceremony of his election office.


On the 23rd, Jeong Seung-yoon held the opening ceremony of his election office on the 4th floor of the Donga Building in Bujeon-dong, Busanjin-gu.

About 500 people attended the opening ceremony, including former Chief of Staff Lee Gwan-seop, who served as the Chief of Staff at the Presidential Office under the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, key figures from the education sector, civic organizations, religious circles, and supporters.


Candidate Jeong said, “I will firmly establish Busan education. I will raise our children as true sovereigns of the democratic republic and the free Republic of Korea. I will protect Busan and Korea through the power of education,” adding, “The answer lies in education. I will create schools where teachers are true teachers and students are true students.”


He continued, “A country worthy of the name begins with schools that nurture people worthy of the name,” emphasizing, “I will nurture 100,000 global talents in Busan who will protect the free Republic of Korea and lead Busan.”


He stated, “I believe in the power of Busan, which has always taken the lead in protecting the country whenever Korea faced a crisis,” and added, “Together with everyone here, I will create a vigorous future for the children of Busan who will raise Busan and Korea. I, Jeong Seung-yoon, will take the lead.”


In his congratulatory speech, former Chief of Staff Lee Gwan-seop said, “I believe Candidate Jeong has sufficient capability to become the Busan Superintendent of Education who will be responsible for the future of Busan and Korea,” and urged, “The coming months will be an important period for Korea. The Busan Superintendent of Education election can be a starting point. I hope everyone will unite their strength.”


Lee Myung-hee, a professor at Kongju National University and co-representative of the Pan-Civic Society Coalition, said, “Education that confirms the identity of the Republic of Korea is necessary. In that regard, Candidate Jeong is the right person,” adding, “Please allow Candidate Jeong to create policies that will bring change to Busan education and repay the trust. So that Busan education can contribute to a prospering Korea once again.”
