At a press conference held at the National Assembly that day, Supreme Council Member Kim said, "Why has Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, consistently been number one in approval ratings since the internal conflict, and why can't the People Power Party defeat him? It is because Lee follows the flow of the times, while the People Power Party does not and only chases after Lee Jae-myung."
Regarding Lee's recent positioning of the Democratic Party's identity as centrist and conservative, he evaluated it as "opening the way to responsibly accommodate the broader demands of the people instead of the far-right People Power Party."
Supreme Council Member Kim also introduced "10 key points of Lee Jae-myung's leadership in overcoming internal conflict," including ▲prior announcement of martial law ▲leading the lifting of martial law ▲prompt impeachment proposal against President Yoon Seok-youl ▲setting growth recovery and overcoming internal conflict as top policy priorities.
He emphasized, "Lee's unifying politics will further develop through alliances with progressive, conservative, and centrist political forces inside and outside the party who agree on overcoming internal conflict," and added, "Lee Jae-myung's leadership is pragmatic, trusting the people and responding to change."
He criticized the People Power Party, saying, "They have become the 'far-right Jeon Kwang-hoon second squad,' focusing only on defending internal conflict, attacking Lee Jae-myung, and opposing everything unconditionally," and added, "Therefore, no matter how much they criticize Lee Jae-myung, it is natural that they lose to him."
