Jung-gu District in Seoul has reorganized the Apartment Management Expert Advisory Group for 2025 to enhance the efficiency and transparency of apartment management and has begun full-scale activities.
The newly formed advisory group this year consists of 30 external experts with extensive practical experience in 17 fields related to apartments, including painting, landscaping, waterproof roofing, architectural and civil engineering construction, and electrical power facilities in the construction and service sectors, recommended by associations in the relevant fields.
In the case of apartments, if construction work exceeding 100 million KRW, services exceeding 50 million KRW, or district support projects exceeding 10 million KRW are carried out, or if administrative sanctions are imposed due to violations of long-term repair regulations, consultation with the Apartment Management Expert Advisory Group is mandatory.
When consultation is mandatory or requested as needed by apartment complexes, the advisory group provides free technical consultation services regarding the necessity, timeliness, scale, and appropriateness of cost estimation for construction and services.
The district operates the Apartment Expert Advisory Group to assist the Residents' Representative Meetings in making rational decisions, prevent conflicts and disputes within complexes, and play a role in preventing corruption and irregularities related to apartment management. Last year, the advisory group provided 13 consultation services related to civil engineering construction and telecommunications.
Apartments requiring consultation can check the announcements on the district office website, and the Residents' Representative Meeting or management entity can submit an application form to the Housing Division of Jung-gu Office.
