The performance presentation was attended by key Pohang City officials, including BizHub (CEO Kim Tae-jin) and Amdocs Korea (CEO Park Ik-soon).

At the presentation, the results of the AI Smart Streetlight pilot project (PoC, Proof of Concept), conducted in collaboration between Pohang City and BizHub, were shared, discussing the project's achievements and future development directions.

The smart streetlights utilizing AI, big data, and IoT technology perform various roles beyond simple lighting functions, such as analyzing traffic volume and pedestrian flow, environmental monitoring, maintaining public safety, and disaster prevention. They are expected to improve living conditions in fishing village areas and enhance residents' quality of life.

Last August, the city signed a business agreement with BizHub to create an 'AI Smart Fishing Village New Vitality Hub,' aiming to ▲discover successful models for the fishing village new vitality promotion project ▲promote the AI smart streetlight pilot project ▲develop small-scale fishing village spaces ▲revitalize the local economy. Since October last year, a total of four AI smart streetlights have been installed and piloted in Homigot-myeon, Pohang City.

Oh Young-hwan, head of the Fishing Village New Vitality Division, said, "This AI smart streetlight project is expected to significantly enhance the safety and convenience of fishing village areas," adding, "We will continue to actively work on improving living conditions in fishing villages using smart technology."
