All-Out Efforts to Secure 861.1 Billion KRW in National Funding for 39 Projects
Detailed Implementation Strategies Discussed in Line with Government Budget

Yeonggwang County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it held the '2026 National Budget Proposal Project Progress Report Meeting' on the 21st to proactively secure national funding and exchanged various opinions.
This meeting reviewed the progress, key issues, and problems of 39 projects worth 861.1 billion KRW (528.9 billion KRW in national funding) that were discussed at the discovery report meeting at the end of December last year. It also examined the county's response plans and discussed detailed strategies according to the government's budget formulation schedule.
The new projects proposed for the 2026 national budget amount to 19 projects totaling 407.2 billion KRW (262.4 billion KRW in national funding), including ▲ 10MW-class water electrolysis demonstration and production base construction linked to nuclear power plants (55 billion KRW), ▲ Southern Region Wide-area Tourism Development Project (Baeksu Coastal Tourism Scenic Spot Development, 40.1 billion KRW), ▲ Health and Welfare Convergence Cluster Construction Project (45.5 billion KRW), ▲ Shinsung District Multipurpose Rural Water Development Project (84.1 billion KRW), and ▲ Yeomsan Water Purification Plant Improvement Project (18.4 billion KRW).
Ongoing projects include 20 projects totaling 453.9 billion KRW (266.5 billion KRW in national funding), such as ▲ Future Mobility Collision Safety Infrastructure Advancement Project (17 billion KRW), ▲ Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project (Haksan, Maesan, Guam, 77.5 billion KRW), ▲ National Road No. 77 Yeonggwang Daeshin District Dangerous Road Improvement (30 billion KRW), ▲ Yeonggwang County Waste Treatment Facility (Incineration) Installation Project (20.4 billion KRW), and ▲ Beopseong Water Purification Plant Improvement Project (40 billion KRW).
The total amount of national funding requested for 2026 is 119.5 billion KRW, including 15 billion KRW for new projects and 104.5 billion KRW for ongoing projects.
Yeonggwang County plans to make every effort to secure next year's national funding by continuously visiting central government ministries, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the National Assembly until the government's budget plan is finalized.
