On the 21st, Gimcheon City in Gyeongbuk held a policy briefing session for the '1 Trillion Won New Business Discovery Project' at the city hall auditorium to discuss the direction of new business initiatives.

This project involved discovering a total of 84 new business initiatives across various sectors including administration, welfare, economy, agriculture, and health. After three rounds of internal review and expert consultation, 19 core tasks were finally selected.


The briefing session was attended by Acting Mayor Choi Sun-go of Gimcheon, city executives, Hong In-gi, Director of the Private Sector Revitalization Division of Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Na Joong-gyu, Head of the Research Headquarters at the Gyeongbuk Research Institute, who engaged in in-depth discussions on the implementation directions for each task.


Acting Mayor Choi emphasized, “Please expedite the research services for each task to concretize Gimcheon’s future growth engines and strive to reflect these in election pledges and regional development plans at the metropolitan level.”
