Gumi Manufacturing Industry Security Capability Enhancement
and Communication Meeting Held
On the 21st, the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongbuk held the 'Gumi Manufacturing Industry Security Capability Enhancement and Communication Meeting' in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended by industrial security officers of local manufacturing companies and related agency officials.
At the conference room on the 3rd floor of the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local manufacturing industry security officers and related agency officials are holding a meeting to strengthen the industrial security capabilities of Gumi manufacturers and facilitate communication.
This meeting aimed to raise awareness about the leakage of industrial technology and trade secrets and to establish a cooperative network to strengthen the security capabilities of manufacturing companies.
The event included a welcoming speech, a special invited lecture, a Q&A session, and an introduction to the Gumi Industrial Security Council's working committee.
In the special lecture, Park Yong-gyu, Head of Threat Analysis at the Digital Threat Response Division of the Korea Internet & Security Agency, spoke as the presenter, introducing various cybersecurity threat cases faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies, such as ransomware, information leakage, DDoS attacks, and phishing emails, and presented practical countermeasures.
Previously, in October last year, in collaboration with the Gyeongbuk Information Protection Support Center, discussions were held on 'Protection Measures for Industrial Technology and Trade Secrets of SMEs and Mid-sized Companies.'
The Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to continue holding meetings to strengthen the protection of industrial technology and information security capabilities of local manufacturing companies.
