Export Agreement for Agricultural and Specialty Products
MOU to Attract International School

Haenam County Governor Myung Hyun-kwan will visit the United States for six nights and seven days from the 22nd to the 28th to explore future strategies for the region and establish a global cooperation network.


According to the county on the 21st, the visit to the United States will include a three-day schedule to sign business agreements aimed at expanding exports of Haenam's agricultural and specialty products, attracting foreign educational institutions, and establishing an AI supercluster hub, as well as touring related industrial sites.

On the 24th, an export agreement will be pursued with Wootari, a company located in Los Angeles, to expand exports of Haenam's premium agricultural and marine products. Wootari, the partner company, operates five stores and its own logistics center in Los Angeles, specializing in the distribution and sale of premium Korean agricultural and marine food products.


On the 25th and 26th, together with Jeonnam Province, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be signed with Redlands Christian School (RCS) in California to attract an international school. On the 26th, a memorandum of agreement (MOA) will be signed with Fir Hills for the establishment of an AI supercluster hub.


In addition, discussions on cooperation in eco-friendly energy policies and future industries to respond to climate change are planned. The delegation will visit major public institutions, research institutes, and companies to benchmark successful regional development cases in the United States and incorporate them into Haenam County's policies.


Meanwhile, the delegation for this visit to the United States includes Governor Myung Hyun-kwan, County Council Chair Lee Seongok, Okcheon Nonghyup President Yoon Chiyeong, and 11 officials from the county.
