90 Doctoral and 202 Master’s Graduates from Three Graduate Schools

The degree conferment ceremony, held on the 20th at Dow Hall on Dong-A University Bumin Campus, was attended by President Lee Hae-woo, Graduate School Dean Song Kang-jik, International Professional Graduate School Dean Kim Dae-jung, Education Graduate School Dean Jo Gyu-pan, and degree recipients.
At this 2024 Spring Semester degree conferment ceremony, three graduate schools?the General Graduate School, International Professional Graduate School, and Education Graduate School?conferred degrees to 90 doctoral and 202 master’s graduates.
During the event, doctoral graduates and their advisors went up to the stage together to receive their diplomas, while master’s graduates received their diplomas through representatives from each department.
Awards were also presented, including the ‘Outstanding Research Award’ given to students who demonstrated excellent achievements in coursework and research, and the ‘Challenging Talent Award’ given to students who serve as role models through outstanding passion and potential.
The recipients of the ‘Outstanding Research Award,’ given to one doctoral and one master’s student each from the humanities, social sciences, and science and engineering fields of the General Graduate School, were △Seong Sang-ha (Ph.D. graduate, Department of Management Information Systems) △Choi Se-myeong (Ph.D. graduate, Department of Health Sciences) △Kim Mu-geon (Master’s graduate, Department of Management Information Systems) △Lee Jeong-min (Master’s graduate, Department of Applied Life Sciences).
The ‘Challenging Talent Award’ was given to △Ha Mi-kyung (Ph.D. graduate, Department of Mathematics, General Graduate School) △Jeon Won-seok (Ph.D. graduate, International Studies major, International Professional Graduate School) △Lee Seung-hee (Master’s graduate, Career and Learning Consulting major, Education Graduate School).
President Lee Hae-woo said on the day, “Those of you who have received this honorable degree have acquired the ability as researchers through the knowledge you have learned and mastered yourselves. In the future era, expertise and originality will be constantly demanded. I hope you will once again pledge to engage in more rigorous self-management and endless diligence. I ask you to become proud alumni equipped with both expertise and communication skills.”
