Provision of Home Care and Housekeeping Support Services
Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 21st that it will provide three types of social services?Community Social Service Investment Project, Home Care and Housekeeping Support Project, and Daily Care Service?to address welfare blind spots among residents and strengthen customized care services.
The Community Social Service Investment Project aims to provide customized social services tailored to the diverse needs of residents. When users select the services they need, registered providers in each city or county deliver the corresponding services.
Currently, Jeonbuk operates 27 services including psychological counseling, educational support, and health management. As the available services and eligibility criteria (such as income and age) vary by city and county, residents should contact their local community center before applying.
The Home Care and Housekeeping Support Project supports residents under the age of 65 from low-income households who require housekeeping or care services due to disabilities or illnesses.
Main services include cleaning, bathing assistance, meal support, and simple rehabilitation exercises. Users can choose to receive services from 24 to 40 hours per month.
The Daily Care Service targets individuals aged 9 to 64 who need care, including young and middle-aged adults caring for family members (family caregivers aged 9-39, and care recipients aged 19-64).
This service provides customized support such as hospital accompaniment, meal and nutrition management, physical health management, and psychological counseling, focusing on closing the welfare blind spots in the community.
A Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province official stated, "This year as well, we will improve the quality of life for residents and reduce welfare blind spots through a variety of customized social services," adding, "Since the application periods and eligibility criteria for each project differ, please make sure to check with your local community center before applying."
The Community Social Service Investment Project, Home Care and Housekeeping Support, and Daily Care Service can all be applied for at local community centers. As recruitment schedules and available spots may vary by region, it is important to check in advance.
