The 'Urban Regeneration Activation Field Support Project' is designed to promote step-by-step activation throughout all phases of urban regeneration projects under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s framework for systematic operation and management.

This year, a total of eight detailed projects across three areas?planning, operation, and management?are planned. These include 'planning establishment and consulting' such as urban regeneration strategic plans, as well as ▲urban regeneration project evaluation ▲performance management and monitoring ▲field education support ▲activation governance promotion ▲post-management monitoring ▲and production of an urban regeneration white paper.

As the first step of the project, on the 18th, an 'Administrative Officials Capacity Building Training' was held at the Busan Eurasia Platform for urban regeneration officials from 16 districts and counties in Busan.

This training focused on strengthening officials’ capabilities in 'project management and settlement' to facilitate the phased activation of urban regeneration projects. Additionally, through education on the 'establishment and evaluation of post-management plans for urban regeneration projects,' which will be fully implemented this year, and practical case studies, participants gained a deep understanding of the administrative management process of urban regeneration projects.

Shin Chang-ho, President of Busan Metropolitan City Corporation, stated, “On-site training for each urban regeneration stakeholder will be a great support for promoting urban regeneration projects,” and added, “We will continue to strive to ensure that Busan’s urban regeneration projects are systematically managed, operated, and activated.”
