Establishing Data-Driven Policies
and Improving Infrastructure
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 21st that it achieved the highest grade of 'Excellent' in both public data provision and data-driven administration inspection in the '2024 Public Data Provision and Data-Driven Administration Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety evaluates the performance of public institutions every year by dividing 20 items in five areas?opening and utilization, analysis and utilization, sharing, quality, and management system?into three grades: excellent, average, and insufficient, to improve public services and enhance citizens' data accessibility.
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation has received the excellent grade in the 'Public Data Provision' category for four consecutive years since 2021, and in this evaluation, it earned the excellent grade for the first time in the 'Data-Driven Administration' category as well.
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation improved its data infrastructure through large-scale maintenance of the factory registration system data and received high scores in the public data opening and utilization area by providing an API (Application Programming Interface) for the private overseas buyer matching service.
Additionally, by contributing to the establishment of government policies for cultural industrial complexes through its own data analysis and conducting data utilization competency assessments for all employees, it received higher-than-average scores in areas such as data analysis and utilization and management systems as a result of efforts toward data-driven policy formulation.
Lee Sang-hoon, Chairman of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, said, “The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation is improving the industrial complex environment more effectively through strengthening public data provision and data-driven administration,” and added, “We will continue to strive to enhance the competitiveness of industrial complexes and tenant companies and lead digital transformation through policy innovation based on data.”
