RaonSecure is partnering with Hana Bank to establish a blockchain-based digital ID system at Kwangwoon University that can be linked with financial services.
IT security and authentication platform company RaonSecure (CEO Lee Soon-hyung, Lee Jung-ah) signed a business agreement on the 20th at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, with Hana Bank for the "Kwangwoon University Digital ID Construction Project."
Under this agreement, RaonSecure and Hana Bank will provide RaonSecure’s digital platform, the "OmniOne KYPL Platform," to issue mobile ID student cards at Kwangwoon University, and promote digital identity authentication innovation on campus by linking with Hana Bank’s financial services.
The "OmniOne KYPL Platform" is a partnership platform that supports issuing mobile ID student cards, personal information protection, and consent procedures in collaboration with universities and financial institutions. Once the mobile ID student card based on the "OmniOne KYPL Platform" is introduced at Kwangwoon University, convenience for campus student services such as access to academic systems, campus facility reservations and entry, and student council election voting will increase, while security will be significantly enhanced through personal information protection and identity theft prevention. Additionally, by linking with Hana Bank’s "Hana One Q App," accessibility to financial services such as issuing non-face-to-face student check cards will also improve.
Furthermore, by adding mobile ID student card authentication to simplify access methods to academic administrative systems, the project supports increased efficiency in university administration and learning. It also plans to expand connections with external services by partnering with local communities and companies to provide discounts and promotions through verification using the "OmniOne Digital ID," as well as linking employment support systems.
The Kwangwoon University mobile ID student card will also be linked with the "OmniOne Digital ID" service. The "OmniOne Digital ID" is a blockchain-based identity and qualification authentication integrated platform provided as Software as a Service (SaaS). Universities, public institutions, companies, and various organizations regardless of size can issue various digital certificates without building their own systems. It has a wide range of applications including membership cards, student IDs, employee IDs, graduation certificates, and employment certificates.
RaonSecure is expanding its partnerships for the "OmniOne Digital ID," strengthening its position not only in digital identity authentication but also in the credential issuance market. Last year, it launched the OmniOne Digital ID service for students issuing ISIC international student cards.
Park Jong-moon, Head of Service Business Division at RaonSecure, said, "Through cooperation with Hana Bank, we have enhanced convenience for identity authentication and academic system access for Kwangwoon University students and staff." He added, "We will continue to collaborate with Hana Bank to spread digital innovation on university campuses through various services such as ‘OmniOne Digital ID,’ ‘OmniOne Badge,’ and ‘Raon Metademy.’"
