The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Kakao are cooperating again this year, following last year, to help adolescents struggling with isolation and withdrawal issues recover their daily lives.

According to the Ministry on the 23rd, Kakao will gift Kakao Friends' Chunsik doll keychains to adolescents participating in the 'Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Support Project for Isolated and Withdrawn Adolescents.' The keychain features Chunsik, a popular character from Kakao Friends, dressed in a Baduk outfit.

Additionally, they plan to continue collaborating on promoting the project using the 'Youth Counseling 1388' KakaoTalk channel operated by the Korea Youth Counseling and Welfare Institute.

Since March last year, the Ministry has been running a project dedicated to isolated and withdrawn adolescents, providing integrated (one-stop) support from discovery to recovery and follow-up management. Last year, one-on-one customized case management services were provided to a total of 309 isolated and withdrawn adolescents and their families, with satisfaction scores of 90 points (adolescents) and 95 points (parents), showing high approval. This year, the service area has expanded further to include Gwangju City.

Shin Young-sook, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, stated, "We will do our best to implement the project to provide practical help to adolescents and their families struggling with isolation and withdrawal issues, and we will make further efforts to expand the service areas in the future."

Kwon Dae-yeol, Chair of Kakao CA (Corporate Affairs) Council's Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee, said, "We are pleased to participate in this meaningful activity for isolated and withdrawn adolescents," adding, "We will continue to expand various social contribution activities going forward."
