Expansion of Toktok Factory from 5 to 6 Locations
Business Operations and Youth Entrepreneurship Expected to Flourish
Ulsan City will hold the opening ceremony of Toktok Factory Jung-gu Innovation Branch on February 21 at 2:30 PM on the 6th floor of the Ujeong Innovation Tower and will begin full-scale operations.
The opening ceremony will be attended by about 30 people, including key guests such as Ahn Hyo-dae, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Ulsan City, Baek Hyun-jo, Chairman of the City Council's Industry and Construction Committee, Kim Cheol-jun, Director of Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency, and representatives of the five newly settled companies at the Jung-gu Innovation Branch.
The ceremony will proceed with a plaque unveiling, progress report, congratulatory speeches, and a facility tour (rounding).
Toktok Factory Jung-gu Innovation Branch is located on the 6th floor of the Ujeong Innovation Tower, covering an area of 650㎡, equipped with manufacturing facilities and spaces, and is operated under the supervision of the Ulsan Economic and Job Promotion Agency.
Last year, Ulsan City recruited tenant companies for Toktok Factory targeting young entrepreneurs in the manufacturing sector through a public contest, and after document and interview screenings, a total of five companies were selected.
These five companies are startups manufacturing products (items) in various fields such as industry, healthcare, and energy.
These companies are provided with ▲ free small-scale manufacturing space ▲ budget support for manufacturing facilities ▲ consulting and marketing services, solving the critical issue of securing space in the early stages of startup, and establishing a foundation for entrepreneurs to operate their businesses stably.
Additionally, entrepreneurs will be supported and nurtured through practical startup incubation programs such as marketing and sales channel development support.
Ahn Hyo-dae, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, said, “Toktok Factory Jung-gu Innovation Branch will be a solid stepping stone for entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into reality, beyond simply providing space,” and added, “I sincerely support that today’s event will be the start of a new leap forward.”
Toktok Factory has been operating five locations by district to foster local young startup companies in Ulsan City by providing startup incubation-type manufacturing spaces, and with the opening of the Jung-gu Innovation Branch, a key project of this year’s city administration, the total number of locations will expand to six.
