Notably this year, Avicus, a specialized ship autonomous navigation solution company under HD Hyundai, which commercialized the world's first autonomous navigation solution for large commercial ships and leisure boats, will unveil its self-developed autonomous navigation solution at the Gyeonggi International Boat Show.
In addition, Pharos Marine's hydrogen fuel cell-based eco-friendly propulsion system, Jotako's smart marine mooring system, and the diver safety support robot from the Korea Institute of Robot Convergence will be exhibited in the "High-Tech Exhibition Hall."
Furthermore, an international conference discussing global trends in high-tech marine leisure industry technologies and Korea's competitiveness will be held on the 28th at 2 p.m. in collaboration with IBI (International Boat Industry), a global boating industry magazine.
An educational international conference with South Devon College (SDC) from the UK, focusing on technical education in the leisure boat industry and the role and achievements of the Gyeonggi Marine Leisure Workforce Development Center, will be held on March 1st at 10:30 a.m.
A yachting lifestyle technology conference with the global boat manufacturer Ferretti Group will also be held on the 1st from 1 p.m. on the conference stage.
Additionally, about 20 lectures covering various topics tailored to different levels and interests of marine leisure users, such as "Boat and Yacht Stories," "Boat Setting and Balance," and "Surfing When the Waves Come," are prepared.
‘Travelize,’ a family yacht YouTuber famous for their content, will participate and share yacht sailing stories in a talk concert with the audience. Visitors to the Gyeonggi Sea Marine Tourism Pavilion can experience a vivid and dynamic sea scene projected on five large LED screens. The opportunity to see 21 beautiful marine leisure activities and marine tourism destinations will be available at the marine tourism photo exhibition booth.
Gyeonggi Province will operate 17 experiential programs, double the number from last year, to enhance understanding of marine safety and broaden the base of marine leisure through hands-on experiences.
At the large pool, alongside the Gyeonggi Marine Safety Experience Center, visitors can experience boarding a liferaft identical to real ones, casting experiences with fishing professionals and boat YouTubers, kayaking in the 50-meter current pool, and air surf bounce in the special surfing pavilion. Notably, this year a new boat trailing experience has been added, where participants can drive a vehicle equipped with a trailer forward and backward through a T-shaped course, providing safe trailer driving experience.
Park Jong-min, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Agriculture, Fisheries and Life Sciences Bureau, stated, "Korea's marine leisure industry has the opportunity to become a representative industry of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era," and added, "This year's Gyeonggi International Boat Show is prepared to present this vision and provide the general public with experiential opportunities to establish a safe marine leisure culture."
