Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do (Governor: Cho Sangrae) announced on the 19th that it is recruiting 20 participants for the "2025 Gokseong County Youth Monthly Rent Support Program" to help young people establish economic independence and settle stably in the region.

This program aims to alleviate the financial burden on young people living alone in Gokseong by providing up to 100,000 KRW per month in housing support for 12 months, thereby helping them settle down stably in the area.

Eligible applicants are single-person households aged 19 to 49 who reside in Gokseong and rent a home under their own name within the county. The income criterion is 150% or less of the median income for a single-person household (3,588,020 KRW). However, those already receiving housing benefits for low-income households, beneficiaries of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) rental housing programs, or recipients of similar government or local government housing support programs are excluded.

Eligible youth can check the announcement on the county website and apply in person at the Gokseong County Population Policy Division or at their local town or township office by the 28th. If the number of applicants exceeds the available slots, those with lower recognized household income among the qualified applicants will be selected first.

A county official stated, "We hope this program will help reduce the housing cost burden for young people settling in Gokseong," and added, "We plan to continue preparing support programs to help young people settle stably in the future."
