Lee Nak-yeon: "I will lend even a handful of strength to purge Yoon and Lee Jae-myung Cheong"

Hinting at a Possible Presidential Run in the Event of an Early Election
"Considering What Would Be the Best Contribution"

Former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon stated, "The spirit of the next presidential election era is integration and stability, and the political liquidation of Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung," adding, "If I have even a handful of strength, I will use it for the country and then leave."

Having left the Democratic Party and taken the position of standing advisor for the New Future Democratic Party, former Prime Minister Lee appeared on KBC's 'Yeouido Invitation' on the 19th and said, "Including the question of whether I will run or not, I am not in a position to do everything as I wish, but if I have even a handful of strength, I will use it for the country and then leave." This is interpreted as suggesting the possibility of running if an early presidential election is held.

When asked "What kind of person should the next president be?" former Prime Minister Lee referred to a public opinion poll that cited "national integration, respect for the rule of law, and morality," and responded, "It seems that the public also feels the concerns of our current political scene these days."

When asked whether "the liquidation of Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung's politics and the liquidation of Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung themselves are different or the same," he said, "Since both are politicians, ultimately it is the same," but emphasized, "It is not about hating an individual."

When asked about the "possibility of running if an early presidential election is held," he replied, "I am seriously considering what would be the best contribution I can make."

Regarding the "reactions of the Democratic Party or supporters of Representative Lee Jae-myung, who are not favorable to former Prime Minister Lee," he said, "I will take everything into consideration (when making a decision)."
