Two Injured as Car Reverses into Cafe in Gwangju
In Gwangju, a car driven by a woman in her 60s, who was inexperienced at driving, crashed into a cafe, injuring two people.
At around 10:01 a.m. on the 19th, a sedan driven by a woman in her 60s, identified as Ms. A, reversed into a coffee shop on the first floor of a building in Singa-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju. The vehicle broke through the glass at the entrance, crossed the store, and only stopped after hitting the glass door on the opposite side.
As a result of the accident, two people, including Ms. A and a customer who was in the coffee shop, sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. Fortunately, there were not many customers in the cafe at the time, so no additional injuries occurred.
The police believe that Ms. A caused the accident due to inexperienced driving while reversing to park, and are investigating the exact circumstances.
