Incheon City announced on the 19th that it will expand the pregnancy pre-health management support project for men and women aged 20 to 49, regardless of marital status or number of children.
This project, which has been implemented since April last year, supports fertility testing fees to detect health risk factors that may affect pregnancy and childbirth early and to promote reproductive health.
Previously, support was provided only once in a lifetime to couples preparing for pregnancy, but starting this year, any man or woman aged 20 to 49 can receive support up to three times in their lifetime, once per major cycle: ▲1st cycle (ages 20?29) ▲2nd cycle (ages 30?34) ▲3rd cycle (ages 35?49), if they wish to undergo testing.
The test items for women include ovarian function tests (AMH, also known as the 'ovarian age test') and gynecological ultrasound examinations, with support up to 130,000 KRW. Men can receive semen analysis to check sperm count, morphology, and motility, with support up to 50,000 KRW.
Those who wish to undergo testing can apply by visiting the public health center in charge of their registered residential address or through the e-health center (e-health.go.kr).
