Suncheon City Implements Customized Public Job Program for 'Livelihood Economy Recovery'

217 Low-Income and Unemployed Youth Participants
Assigned to 130 Workplaces Until June 30

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 19th that it will officially launch the 2025 first half public job program from the 24th to June 30th, aiming to support stable lives for citizens and promote economic recovery by providing customized public job opportunities for vulnerable groups and youth.


Through a selection process based on specific criteria, a total of 217 participants have been chosen for this public job program, including 167 for public work positions and 50 for local community jobs.

The participants will be assigned to a total of 130 workplaces, including informatization projects, public service support projects, and environmental cleanup projects.


On March 6, a safety accident prevention training session will be held at the Grand Theater of Suncheon Culture & Arts Center for 260 public job participants and project managers. The training aims to prevent potential hazards and industrial accidents during job performance and will be conducted by an instructor from the Jeonnam Eastern Branch of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.


A city official said, "We hope that low-income individuals and unemployed youth who are willing to work can achieve employment and livelihood stability through the public job program," adding, "We will continue to do our best to help vulnerable groups achieve economic independence."
