The Korea National University of Cultural Heritage, under the Cultural Heritage Administration, will hold the 2024 academic year degree conferment ceremony at 2 p.m. on the 21st, awarding degrees to 239 graduates.

The Korea National University of Cultural Heritage is a four-year special-purpose national university established in 2000 by the Cultural Heritage Administration to cultivate talents in traditional culture equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical application skills. Graduates are actively expanding their roles in various specialized fields related to national heritage, including national heritage restoration technicians and artisans, as well as public and private institutions related to national heritage.


Marking its 22nd ceremony this year, the 2024 degree conferment will see a total of 239 graduates take their first steps as traditional culture experts, including 9 doctoral degrees, 91 master's degrees, and 139 bachelor's degrees.


Certificates will be awarded to 7 outstanding graduates. ▲Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award - Kim Taeyeon, Department of Traditional Architecture ▲Cultural Heritage Administration Commissioner Award - Kim Bokyung, Department of Conservation Science; Han Sumin, Department of Intangible Heritage ▲President of Korea National University of Cultural Heritage Award - Jeong Sumin, Department of Traditional Landscape Architecture; Park Soeun, Department of Traditional Fine Arts and Crafts; Choi Jiwoo, Department of National Heritage Management; Oh Seojeong, Department of Convergent Archaeology


The Korea National University of Cultural Heritage under the Cultural Heritage Administration stated, “As the only higher education institution for traditional culture in the country, we will continue proactive administration to inherit and develop traditional culture and to nurture talents in traditional culture in step with environmental changes in the national heritage field.”
