Mainichi Shimbun reported, "The woman denies the charges, claiming she was not angry and did not hit the customs officer."

Japanese police are investigating on suspicion of obstruction of official duties, and the woman remains in custody.

A representative of the Korean Consulate General in Fukuoka told Yonhap News, "We requested a swift and fair investigation from the Japanese police yesterday," adding, "We are providing necessary consular assistance."
