A man in his 50s was injured after being pinned under his own car while parking in a residential area in Jeju city.
According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters on the 19th, a 119 emergency call was received at 8:49 p.m. the previous day reporting that a man had been pinned under a Sonata vehicle in Ido 2-dong, Jeju City.
The man, Mr. A, was involved in an accident where his privately owned car, parked on a slope, rolled and pinned his abdomen under the wheel. It is reported that Mr. A had briefly gotten out of the car to move a no-parking water bucket when the vehicle rolled, causing the accident.
The fire authorities rescued Mr. A, who was trapped under the car wheel. He complained of chest pain and difficulty breathing and was transported to the hospital, where it was confirmed that his life was not in danger.
