Joining the Low Birthrate Crisis Overcoming Relay Challenge

NH Nonghyup Bank President Kang Tae-young announced on the 19th that he has joined the "Low Birthrate Crisis Overcoming Relay Challenge" to overcome the low birthrate crisis and promote a culture of work-family balance.


President Kang participated in the challenge by visiting the in-house daycare center located in Jung-gu, Seoul, holding a placard with the challenge slogan along with the children. He stated, "The low birthrate issue is an important task that everyone must solve together for a sustainable future," and added, "Nonghyup Bank will continue to actively support work-family balance and do its best to expand a positive corporate culture regarding childbirth and childcare."


This challenge is a campaign in which leaders from various sectors participate in a relay format to spread a family-friendly corporate culture and foster a positive social atmosphere toward childbirth and childcare.


Nonghyup Bank operates various welfare programs to support work-family balance. These include support for infertility treatment costs and leave provision, childbirth congratulatory funds, spouse childbirth leave, encouragement of parental leave, and parental leave and reduced working hours systems for children entering elementary school.


Regarding childbirth congratulatory funds, up to 20 million KRW per child is provided. For the first child, 5 million KRW; second child, 8 million KRW; third child, 10 million KRW; and for the fourth child and beyond, 20 million KRW. During the elementary school entry period, a three-year parental leave and reduced working hours system is also operated.
