SSG.com announced on the 19th that it will expand the same-day delivery area for products from Emart's warehouse-style discount store Traders Whole Sale Club (Traders) to the Seoul metropolitan area.
Previously, 'Traders SSG Delivery' was available only in areas close to Traders stores, while other regions could only use parcel delivery. This expansion of the delivery area is the result of switching Traders' parcel delivery in the metropolitan area to CJ Logistics' 'O-NE' same-day delivery service. Starting from the 20th, customers in most parts of the metropolitan area can receive their orders on the same day if they place them by 10 a.m. Orders placed after 10 a.m. will be delivered on a designated day. SSG.com stated that it plans to extend the cutoff time and delivery areas in the future.
With the availability of same-day delivery, refrigerated and frozen products, which were previously delivered only near the stores via SSG Delivery, will also be offered. Customers can also receive fresh foods such as large-quantity meat and fruits, as well as bakery items.
The free shipping threshold has been lowered from 120,000 won to 90,000 won. The company explained that the same standards for Traders SSG Delivery and parcel delivery apply, reducing the delivery cost burden.
To celebrate the expansion of the same-day delivery area, SSG.com will provide a Traders free shipping coupon for purchases over 60,000 won until the 16th of next month. Popular Traders products, including fresh foods, will be sold at special prices with 10 items offered per week.
