The newly developed special steel wire rod material by SeAH Besteel is a material with improved cleanliness compared to existing special steel materials for oil and gas applications. The deoxidation and desulfurization processes were strengthened during the refining stage to remove impurities, and the heating temperature was optimized during rolling to maintain material uniformity.
In particular, it is characterized by securing high hydrogen-induced cracking resistance to maintain consistent durability even after prolonged contact with petroleum containing a large amount of hydrogen.
A SeAH Besteel official stated, "The special steel wire rod material for oil and gas applications has high cleanliness and durability, and demand in the global energy market continues to increase," adding, "Based on the early secured special steel wire rod material, we expect it to become a new growth engine for SeAH Besteel in the future."
