This training was conducted for the deputy mayor, who is the person responsible for safety and health management, as well as department heads who are supervisors and personnel in charge of major accident tasks.
Led by labor attorney Min-gyu Lee, an expert in industrial accident law, the main training topics included the duties and roles of supervisors, key contents of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, workplace safety management, nationwide major accident cases, and measures and response plans in case of major accidents.
Additionally, the Safety General Division produced a "Major Accident Prevention and Response Manual" to ensure continuous inspection and improvement of hazardous and dangerous factors and to enable prompt response in emergency situations, which was distributed to each department on this day.
Mayor Hyun-il Jo stated, "Since major accidents come without warning, I hope this training serves as an opportunity for public officials to once again recognize the importance of safety and health and to further strengthen Gyeongsan City's major accident response system."
