The 3rd Meeting of the Yangsan City Council Academia Polis Special Committee Held

Listening to Progress on the Development of Idle Land at Pusan National University Yangsan Campus

The Special Committee on Academia Polis of the Yangsan City Council in Gyeongnam held its 3rd meeting on the 18th to receive a business report on the development of idle land at Pusan National University Yangsan Campus and the progress of the leading project in the spatial innovation zone.

The Academia Polis Special Committee (Chairman Jeong Seong-hoon), composed of six members from the 2nd regular session of the Yangsan City Council, has been continuously active since its first meeting on January 2, 2025, aiming to explore development directions for the idle land within Pusan National University Yangsan Campus.


This meeting focused on receiving progress reports from related departments, including the Industrial Innovation Division and Urban Planning Division, as well as from related organizations such as Gyeongnam Technopark (Gyeongnam TP), and exploring development plans for the idle land at Pusan National University through Q&A sessions.


The main reports included ▲ results of the Campus Innovation Park contest and Yangsan City's strategic projects (Industrial Innovation Division) ▲ progress in establishing the Yangsan Biomedical Innovation Hub (Gyeongnam TP) ▲ progress of the leading project in the spatial innovation zone (Urban Planning Division).


Chairman Jeong Seong-hoon stated, “Through this meeting, we were able to understand the current status of the development of the idle land at Pusan National University Yangsan Campus and the difficulties in project implementation. Based on the outcomes of the meeting, we plan to conduct benchmarking visits to advanced sites, hold joint forums, and actively encourage project participation by visiting Pusan National University and related organizations.”
