Gyeongnam National University Department of Nursing Signs Business Agreement with Gyeongnam Provincial Mental Hospital

Systematic Support for Student Clinical Practice

The Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam National University recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Gyeongnam Provincial Mental Hospital for clinical practice and mutual development.

Gyeongnam Provincial Mental Hospital is the only public mental health institution in Gyeongsangnam-do, contributing to the promotion of mental health in the local community. Since its establishment in 2009 as the first four-year nursing program in the central Gyeongnam region, the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam National University has established itself as an institution that produces nursing professionals equipped with both theory and practical skills by providing excellent on-campus education and securing high-quality clinical training hospitals.

On this day, both institutions pledged to systematically support clinical practice for nursing students and strengthen mutual educational cooperation by agreeing on ▲ support and cooperation for field training ▲ efficient operation of clinical practice and compliance with hospital policies ▲ matters concerning the rights and duties of trainees.

Yang Seung-kyung, head of the Department of Nursing, said, “Through this agreement, nursing students will gain essential clinical experience and have an important opportunity to grow into professional nurses,” adding, “We will do our best to nurture outstanding nursing talent needed by the local community through continuous cooperation.”
