Taewon Art Media Participates in Film Production Through Joint Investment

As the new school semester approaches in the spring of 2025, the film market has yet to present any notable works and only cold winds are blowing. In this chilly theater scene, the sweet romantic comedy is raising expectations as it promises to bring a spring breeze of box office success.


CEO Lee Jeong-seok of Taewon Art Media Co., Ltd. has jointly invested through an MOU with Film A Pictures Co., Ltd., and was chosen as the first directorial work of Han Man-taek, CEO of Film A Pictures, who planned and produced films such as , , and . Even before its release, is receiving intense attention both inside and outside the film industry.


Lee Jeong-seok, a first-generation real estate developer at the center of numerous issues in Korea, has expanded his business areas beyond real estate development and franchise operations, including hotel and theme park acquisitions through Jackson Nines. Recently, he has extended into senior housing development and consulting services tailored to the accelerating aging society market, as well as medical complex businesses. Alongside this, he is broadening his involvement in entertainment and production companies.


Da-bin Lee, Investment Manager at Taewon Art Media Co., Ltd., confidently stated ahead of 's release, “As Korean cinema is establishing itself at the heart of K-culture, we judged this film to be sufficiently competitive in the first half of 2025 even when compared to blockbuster films backed by massive capital. That is why we decided to invest, and we selected the release period to be February to March, coinciding with the new semester and White Day.”


is a human romantic comedy that begins when ‘Hyekyung,’ a woman who suddenly loses her mother and unexpectedly starts running a restaurant, meets ‘Hyunwoo,’ a gourmet expert who specializes in visiting famous eateries. The role of Hyekyung is played by Moon Ye-won. Making a dazzling debut in the 2018 film , Moon Ye-won has since solidified her position by appearing in hotly discussed dramas such as MBC’s [The Red Moon Blue Sun], JTBC’s [Legal High], SBS’s [Hyena], Coupang Play’s [One Day], tvN’s [Happiness], and ENA’s [Frozen Love]. Returning to the big screen as a lead actress after seven years since , Moon Ye-won will sincerely portray an ordinary woman in her 30s who is still clumsy in love. The male lead ‘Hyunwoo,’ who begins a fateful romance with Moon Ye-won’s character, is played by Park Sang-nam. Having built recognition through dramas like [Sacred Idol], [Military Prosecutor Doberman], [You Are My Spring], and [Writing Your Destiny], Park Sang-nam plays the somewhat pathetic but charming younger man ‘Hyunwoo,’ who tours famous restaurants he once visited with his ex-girlfriend, showcasing a sweet charm that will melt even the cold winter weather.


Finally, CEO Lee Jeong-seok of Taewon Art Media expressed his affection for the film, saying, “In a reality where laughter and warmth are disappearing, we tried to create a film where audiences can comfortably smile and recall the excitement in their hearts and the warmth of first love.
